Camp Bonnie Lake

Camp Bonnie Lake is near Ashmont and is a year round facility with lake frontage.

Camp Bonnie Lake Offers

  • Facility has one lodge with 3 rooms which will sleep 36 youth and 4 adults; a separate cook area with 2 electric stoves, dining area, recreation room, indoor plumbing, and the building is heated by a wood stove.
  • Outside the lodge there are 2 fire pits, 3 outdoor bathrooms, a tenting area and a winter camping area.

Camp Vanier

Camp Vanier is a 147 acre wooded site on Ethel Lake in Alberta’s Lakeland Tourist Region approximately 300 Km North East of Edmonton, by the City of Cold Lake. This camp is well equipped to handle camping on a year round basis, and is operated by experienced Scouting members.

Camp Vanier offers

  • Two private beaches.
  • 12 buildings on site including a resource centre for inclement weather programs.
  • Large campfire areas.
  • Several open areas that can be used for wide games and large pioneering projects and, much more.

  • Cold Lake Marina
  • It is possible to have staff of the Cold Lake Provincial Park come and give demonstrations and lectures on wild life native to the area.

Camp Usage Fees

  • Scouting Members $2.00 per day/per youth member
  • Non Scouting $3.00 per day/ per person
  • $40.00 minimum per day for the main lodge
  • $10.00 non refundable Administrative fee

Camp Sugeema

Camp Sugeema is located a few kms south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40 and can be accessed by vehicle.

Camp Sugeema Offers

  • Facilities include 2 cabins with fire pits.
  • Wilderness camping.
  • Hiking Trails.
  • Cross country ski trails.
  • No running water or electricity.
  • Heavily wooded site.

Chickakoo Lake Camp

A year round facility with Lake Frontage located 35 km NW of Edmonton.

Chickakoo Lake Camp Offers

  • Bunk house which will accommodate approximately 60 people.
  • A cooking shelter is attached to the bunk house.
  • Hiking and cross country skiing trails.
  • Archery and shooting range for qualified users.
  • Canoes are available for qualified canoeists.
  • Tenting area.

Ernest Poole Scout Camp

Located on beautiful Wabamun Lake, AB, Ernest Poole Camp features three heated cabins, a family camp area with 14 sites and a dining shelter located next to a large playing field.

Ernest Poole Camp is also home to a number of amazing wilderness camping sites. Activities at camp include boating, archery, pelletry, summer beach and lots of room to explore.

Building rental fees are extra as listed below:

The Brown Cabin

  • Situated mid-way between camping sites and the lodge
  • Sleeps 8 people in bunks
  • Kitchen with fridge, oven, and 2 sinks and can feed up to 10 campers
  • Pots, pans, utensils, dishes and cutlery are provided
  • No running water
  • The water stand pipe is 10 meters from the cabin

The Raven’s Roost

  • The oldest of our cabins and the farthest away from the camping sites
  • Sleeps 20 people and has some mattresses
  • Kitchen with fridge, oven, and cooking and eating utensils for 20 people
  • Outdoor firepit adjacent to building
  • Water must be brought in until camp water system is in summer operation, at which time there is a potable water pump approximately 100m away

The Lion’s Den

  • Has no cooking facilities
  • Bring some mattresses
  • Sleeps 20 campers

B-P Lodge

  • Burner camp stoves are hooked up to natural gas on the patio of the lodge
  • The kitchen has running cold water and sink drains
  • 2 stoves, 2 fridges, 1 freezer, 2 triple sinks, full utensils for cooking for a large group
  • Bring your own tea towels and dish cloths
  • Lodge meeting/eating area that seats 50
  • Full audio/visual plug-in for your computer
  • Lodge mud/drying room

The Fox Den

  • Immediately adjacent to the BP Lodge
  • Suitable for 12 people
  • Kitchen with 2 fridges, 1 oven, 2 sinks, and cooking utensils for 20 campers
  • Outdoor fire pit adjacent to the cabin
  • Pots, pans, utensil, dishes, and cutlery are provided
  • No running water

Field Sites

  • Powered and unpowered sites
  • Easy vehicle access, combination of trailers and tents are welcome.

Wilderness Tenting

Wilderness tenting sites are set in a stand of Birch, Poplar and Spruce trees. Each site has a fire pit, picnic table and access to water (summer only). There is no vehicle access to wilderness sites. All equipment must be hiked in and out.
