|As you are aware, starting September 1, 2017, all Scouters must complete the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders training as a condition of membership. This training helps Scouters promote safety in all aspects of life by providing them with the tools needed to recognize and act when Scouting youth are faced with abuse, bullying, discrimination and harassment.
Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders can be accessed through the Volunteer Ready tab in the David Huestis Learning Centre on MyScouts.ca. If you haven’t seen it already, please take some time to watch this video with Sheldon Kennedy, co-founder of the Respect Group, on how this training helps promote safety in all aspects of life.
